چکیده

The deficiencies of nutrient elements and inappropriate management practices in agricultural soils the world is one reasons for low crop productivity, reduced nutritional quality produce, animal/human malnutrition. We carried out present study to evaluate single multi-nutrient sulfur (S) micronutrients (zinc (Zn), boron (B), iron (Fe), copper (Cu) manganese (Mn)) India their effective achieve sustainable production, improved crops better health. Altogether, 24,2827 surface soil samples (0 15 cm depth) were collected from agriculture fields 615 districts 28 states analyzed available S micronutrient concentration. concentration varied widely. There variable widespread different states. S, Zn B higher compared Fe, Cu Mn. occurrences two-nutrient (namely + Zn, B, Fe Mn, B), three-nutrient B) four-nutrient Mn extents. This information could be used by various stakeholders supply application right kind fertilizers districts, agro-ecological regions quality, use efficiency environmental will also help a greater way address issue malnutrition human/animals.

Distribution of radionuclide in the forest soils (Western Ghats-India)

Background: The presence of radionuclides in the soil, measures need to be taken to minimize the radiation dose to humans. It is mostly gamma-emitting radionuclides that contribute to the radiation dose in long term behavior of these radionuclides in soil may determine the extent to which such countermeasures need to be applied. Materials and Methods: The activity concentration of these radionu...

Carbon Sequestration in Agricultural Soils

Although it is common to alternate between till and no-till practices, past research has considered farmers’ tillage options to be limited to the dichotomous choice of whether or not to switch to a long-term no-till regime. This paper expands farmers’ options and models their choices of tillage frequency. Less frequent tilling sequesters more carbon but permits a greater accumulation of weeds, ...

Origin and spatial distribution of metals in agricultural soils

Presence of toxic metals in agricultural soils can impose adverse health impact on consumers. The main purpose of this study was to determine spatial distribution of elements Fe, Sb, Mn in agriculture soils and crops of Hamedan Province in Iran. Soil samples (0-20 cm depth) were collected from an area of 2831 km2.  Iron, Antimony and Manganese in samples of soil and agricultural crop...

Assessing the impact of changes in climate and CO2 on potential carbon sequestration in agricultural soils

[1] Changes in soil management can potentially increase the accumulation of soil organic carbon (SOC), thereby sequestering CO2 from the atmosphere. However, the amount of carbon sequestered in soils can be augmented or lessened due to changes in climate and atmospheric CO2 concentration. The purpose of this paper is to study the influence of climate and CO2 feedbacks on soil carbon sequestrati...
